To Lie or To Lay?


The lay preacher laid his old book, laid threadbare by overuse, on the table and breathed a sigh of relief. He was ready to lay his tired body down, he was ready to lie down and rest. Even as he lay down to rest he knew he would not have a good sleep. He had been living a lie, and he knew his boss at work was about to catch up with him.
