Kenyan Referendum: Voices

The No and YES schism in Kenya has a new victim. The Church.   Each day, more Church leaders are coming out to announce dissent from their previously collective stand Against the Draft. This is what I feered would happen, and I expressed it here some months ago. I am not qualified to offer advice to either sides of the adversarial groups within our churches. But it incumbent upon me as an elder to suggest that the Church fades in prominence as the Referendum date 4/8/2010 approaches so that mutual hard feelings within the church’s hierarchy may thaw. We as believers need a place to which to run to unburden our souls post August 4th. Seriously. Such a place won’t be there in a divided church. Church and politics are not good bed fellows.

Kenyans, vote a new future for your children.
