President Barrack Hussein Obama is about to receive his Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo Norway just as I write this entry. Critics say he has done little, and is sending American soldiers to Afghanistan as he receives his prize. But his mantra of a world of HOPE and mutual respect has carried the day for him.
Well, the wise said, ”
- Peace is not an absence of war, it is a virtue, a state of mind, a disposition for benevolence, confidence, justice.”
- Baruch Spinoza
Dutch Jewish philosopher (1632 – 1677)
Just wars to protect the weak often lead to lasting peace. Remember the Chemistry behind this Nobel Prize: It was about “taming fire and force.”
